Former Coventry City forward Gary McSheffrey has today signed for National League side Eastleigh.
McSheffrey was released by Doncaster Rovers after they had secured promotion from League Two last season after spending the majority of 2016/2017 out injured and he has also had spells at Birmingham City, Scunthorpe United and Leeds United.
In his spell with The Sky Blues, McSheffrey made 247 league appearances, and was the youngest ever player to play in the Premier League when he made his professional debut against rivals Aston Villa, in a game that City won 4-1.
McSheffrey joins former Coventry City captain Réda Johnson at at Ten Acres and has signed a short-term contract until January.
