The Football League have today released the fixtures for next season, handing what Coventry City manager Steven Pressley admits is “a tough start” to The Sky Blues.
City kick off the season with an away game at Bradford City; a fixture which saw a controversial 3-3 draw at Valley Parade last season with Pressley and Bradford boss Phil Parkinson having a well publicised bust-up after the final whistle.
City then host Championship side Cardiff City in the first round of the Capital One Cup live on Sky Sports on Wednesday August 13th before hosting Sheffield United and Barnsley in the league.
A large crowd is once again expected to travel to Stadium:MK after two impressive followings in the last two seasons, but this fixture now takes place at the end of August rather than in December.
There is no New Year’s Day game this season, but City do travel to local rivals Walsall on January 3rd 2015.
City once again finish the season with an away game, this season to take place at Crawley Town.
