Coventry City right-back Aaron Phillips has signed a new one-year contract to keep him at the club until July 1st 2014.
Phillips, son of Dave Phillips, a member of the FA Cup winning team of 1987 is yet to play for City’s first team but has had first team experience on loan at Nuneaton Town.
Phillips impressed whilst on loan at Town making 17 appearances and scored one goal, against Telford United, helping Town avoid relegation from the Blue Square Premier League.
Sky Blues’ manager Steven Pressley said;
“We are delighted to see Aaron commit his immediate future to the club.
“He impressed during his loan spell last season which has proved a valuable experience and we are hoping he continues with his hard work this season.
“I want to have a strong squad next season with every position covered, and Aaron will be an important part of that.”
