David Bell agrees mutual termination of contract.

BELL, DavidCoventry City midfielder David Bell has today had his contract terminated by mutual consent at The Sky Blues.

Bell joined The Sky Blues in January 2009 for a fee believed to be around £500,000 from Norwich City.

Bell was told by manager Steven Pressley that he did not feature in his future plans, and was apart of the ‘Bomb Squad’ training seprately from the senior side.

It is rumoured that Bell has already agreed a contract with fellow League One side Notts County but was waiting to agree a severance package with The Sky Blues, but that is unconfirmed.

In total, Bell has made 98 appearances for City, scoring six goals including the 2008/2009 ‘Goal of the Season’ for a strike from the half-way line in a Championship match against Doncaster Rovers.
