Norwich City Under 18 striker, Jamar Loza has joined Coventry City on a 28-day youth loan.
The 19 year old, who travelled with Norwich’s first team to Arsenal last weekend, despite not being involved with the 18 man match day squad, joins in time to be eligible to participate in tomorrow’s game against Walsall at the Bescot Stadium.
In 30 appearances last season for Norwich’s youth team, Loza scored 13 goals, and has 3 goals in 8 games so far this season.
Norwich City Academy manager Ricky Martin said: “It’s a continuing part of his education. He’s done extremely well and the chance to be involved at Coventry will give him more valuable experience and the opportunity to continue his development at a good club.” [CANARIES.CO.UK]
It has been confirmed that Loza will wear squad number 21 whilst with The Sky Blues.
“Jamar is very quick but he’s also very direct and very strong and he’s the kind of player that would fit well into our system,” said City boss Steven Pressley.
“He’s young, he’s hungry and he’s coming here for the opportunity to get first team experience. He’s also coming from a club that promotes a similar approach to style of play so I’m looking forward to seeing what he can bring to the current squad.” [CCFC.CO.UK]
The addition of Loza is likely to provide cover for the partnership of Leon Clarke and Callum Wilson, as The Coventry Telegraph are today reporting that summer signing Mathieu Manset could be set to leave the club on loan himself.
