Coventry City manager Steven Pressley has been nominated for League One’s October Manager of the Month award, whilst captain Carl Baker is on the shortlist for the Player of the Month prize.
City played five league games in October and remained unbeaten winning four and drawing once picking up 13 of a possible 15 points, a run which has lifted City into the top half of the table for the first time this season, despite the ten point deduction imposed on the club at the start of the season.
October’s results included inflicting top of the table, Leyton Orient’s one and only defeat in the league so far this season, as well as coming away from Molineux with a well-earned point after a 1-1 draw with recently relegated Wolves..
Alongside Baker on the four man shortlist for the Player of the Month award are MK Don’s Patrick Bamford, Wolves winger James Henry & Bobby Olejnik of Peterborough.
In the running with Pressley are Kenny Jackett (Wolves,) Russell Slade (Leyton Orient) and Graham Westley of Stevenage.
