German striker Nick Proschwitz will not be returning to Coventry City after joining former side SC Paderborn 07 on a two-year contract.
Proschwitz previously had a spell with the 2. Bundesliga side in 2011/2012, scoring 17 goals in 33 appearances which saw him tied for the league’s top goalscorer.
This form earned Proschwitz a move to Hull City in The Premier League, with The Tigers paying £2.6m for his signature before later joining Brentford.
New Coventry boss Tony Mowbray had been trying to tie the German down to the Sky Blues following a nine-game loan spell at the end of last season and had been in contact with the target-man throughout the off-season however Proschwitz has opted to return to his homeland and join the side relegated from the Bundesliga on the final day of last season.
