Four men with Coventry City connections; Eric Black, Lee Carsley, Paul Williams and Dave Bowman have today all gained new roles.
Eric Black, who took over the Sky Blues’ hot-seat from Gary McAllister in 2003, before being replaced by Peter Reid, has today taken temporary charge of Championship side Rotherham United.
Black takes the hot seat following the “surprise” departure of boss Steve Evans who led the club to The Championship via the League One Play-Offs last year.
Former Coventry City captain, Lee Carsley, who had two spells as a player with the Club, before being a coach and caretaker manager, has taken temporary charge of Championship side Brentford following the departure of Marinus Dijkhuizen, stepping up from the role of Under 21’s coach until the end of the season.
Former City midfielder Paul Williams will act as his assistant.
Meanwhile, another former City midfielder Dave Bowman has taken the Dundee United reigns on a temporary basis following the departure of Jackie McNamara.
