Former Coventry City captain Carl Baker, now at Championship side MK Dons has issued a rallying call to the Sky Blue Army to stick together and urge The Sky Blues to promotion.

Writing on Facebook, Baker said;

“I know CCFC’s result have been disappointing and below par but the lads need positivity and support more than ever.

“The Cov fans know what I think about them and how good they are but it’s more important than ever now to get behind the lads.

“They are 3 points off the play-offs with 11 games to go. Forget their recent results there’s nothing anyone can do about them now!

“But I do know if Cov want to finish in the play-offs and I’m certain the fans want them too, then stick with them, help them out on a Saturday by backing them and getting behind them.

“I know it’s hard but it’s your team, if they don’t make the play-offs come the end of the season then that’s the time to give them stick or be negative but from a players perspective it makes it so much harder if the fans don’t get behind you for every minute in every remaining game.

“I personally still hope they do make it and believe the fans can be a crucial part of the remaining games.”

  1. Well said Carl baker although we are struggling for points right now there are signs after watching the boys on tues that first win is on its way sat !! …. The SBA have been immense as usual ! and true fans get behind there side in adversity ! Sure boo a performance at the final whistle , but let’s not turn inwards and start bickering and sniping at our young players , we’ve got to stick together PUSB !!
