Jack Stephens selected for Toulon Tournament

Former Coventry City loanee Jack Stephens has been selected by Under 21’s manager Gareth Southgate to represent England at The Toulon Tournament, which begins next week.

Stephens, who joined the Sky Blues on loan from Premier League in February, made 16 appearances for Tony Mowbray’s side which just missed out on the play-offs.

Stephens has made one first-team appearance for Southampton – the 2-1 FA Cup win over Coventry at The Ricoh Arena in January 2012, a game which also saw Aaron Martin feature in the Saints’ defence.

After an impressive loan spell, City fans will be hoping Mowbray can lure Stephens back on loan for the entire 2016/2017 Season.
