Seven Coventry City academy scholars offered professional contracts

Coventry City have offered seven academy scholars their first professional contracts.

Both Tom Bayliss and Jordan Ponticellii accepted their terms before Christmas and are already signed up, whilst the club have offered five more scholars contracts.

Defenders Reece Ford, Jak Hickman, Chris Camwell and Jordan Thompson have received their offers as has midfielder Kyle Finn.

Speaking to the club’s official website, Academy Manager Richard Stevens said: “The club are delighted to be able to reward a large part of the U18s group with their first contracts, and look forward to watching them progress as first year pro’s.

“The U18s have performed incredibly well this year, and fully deserve the chance to further develop their careers at this football club.

“Some of these boys have been with Coventry City since the age of eight, and this is another positive step in their footballing education and growth.”
