Coventry City have this afternoon confirmed the signing of defender Kyle McFadzean.
McFadzsean, 32, will join from fellow Sky Bet League One side Burton Albion on a two-year contract upon the conclusion of his current deal with The Brewers.
In three seasons, McFadzean made 121 appearances for Burton after joining in a then club-record fee having also appeared for MK Dons, Sheffield United and Crawley Town in The Football League.
With previous promotions from League One, McFadzean has been brought in to add experience to Mark Robins’ defence following the exit of central back Tom Davies who has been released, and the expected exit of Jordan Willis.
Coventry City Manager Mark Robins said: “I’m delighted to welcome Kyle to the club. He is a leader on and off the pitch, and a strong defender with good footballing ability too.
“He brings experience to the side, having played both in this league and also the Championship. We look forward to working with him, and know he will be a popular addition to our squad.”
