Paul Appleton sets final bids deadline; hopes for quick sale.

Ricoh Arena 3Joint administrator, Paul Appleton has set a deadline of Thursday, June 13th at noon for interested parties to submit their final bids for the assets in Coventry City FC Limited.

Appleton has claimed a number of indicative offers have been received and highlighted a desire to conclude matters as quickly as possible.

He said in a statement: “Following Friday’s deadline [which was an extenstion to the original indicative offers deadline,] I have received a number of indicative offers for the assets of Coventry City FC Limited.

“I am now inviting all interested parties to provide their best and final offers by noon on Thursday, June 13.

“Having discussed the situation with the Football League and with the fixtures for the 2013/14 season due to be published on June 19, I believe the sale process must conclude quickly in order that arrangements can be made for the participation of Coventry City Football Club in the forthcoming season.”

Last week, chief executive Tim Fisher stressed the need for Coventry to exit administration quickly, citing Portsmouth’s plight as an example to avoid. Fisher has also previosuly stated that the Football Club is not for sale.
