William Edjenguele departs Coventry City by mutual consent.

Edjenguele, WilliamCentral defender William Edjenguele has today left Coventry City by mutual consent.

Edjenguele only joined the club last summer as a free agent, signing a three-year contract with the club.

In 40 appearances for the Sky Blues, Edjenguele scored one goal.

Edjenguele was a memeber of the ‘Bomb Squad’ – a group of senior players told by manager Steven Pressley that they were free to leave the club, along with Cody McDonald, Chris Dunn, Kevin Malaga, David Bell, Gary McSheffrey and Steven Jennings.

Now, only McSheffrey, Jennings and Malaga remain at the club.

It is widely expected Edjenguele will now sign for League Two side Bury, where he will partner former City defender Nathan Cameron in defence for The Shakers.
