Coventry City are to miss out on the loan signing of current Wigan Athletic forward Nouha Dicko for the second time.
Sky Blues’ manager Steven Pressley had previously attempted to sign the 21-year-old on loan at the start of the last loan window, losing out to fellow League One side Rotherham United.
Whilst at The Millers, Dicko starred in United’s 3-0 victory at Sixfields at the end of November, scoring one of the goals.
Speaking on Thursday, Rosler said, “We have had enquiries about Nouha, but I’m not in any rush to make a decision because I want to see him more in training and in games to be able to make up my mind.”
Rosler decided to recall Dicko for The FA Cup tie with MK Dons last week, where he came on as a substitute for the last 15 minutes but League One promotion chasers Wolverhampton Wanderers have today confirmed that Dicko was at their game with regards to a permanent move.
Despite only having six months left on his Wigan contract, it is being reported that the two clubs have agreed a fee for Dicko to move to Molineux permanently now, rather than Dicko signing a pre-contract with the League One side.
Dicko has also had a previous loan spell with Wolves.
Speaking to the official Wolves website, manager Kenny Jackett said, “Nouha Dicko was here for talks which will go on over the weekend.
“I’ve been concentrating on the game but I knew he was due here to speak to Jez and Kevin Thelwell.
“I don’t know how it all went because my concentration over the last day or so has all been on this game.
“So I haven’t met him today because of the game so we will see what happens.
“We are working very hard at trying to improve the squad now we have an opportunity with the window open.
“There are a few options that we have but I don’t think there will be numerous additions but vital ones.
“What we want is a complement to what we have here already.”
