According to Sky Sports’ Pete O’Rourke, Joe Murphy is close to completing his switch to Championship side Huddersfield Town.
Murphy, out of contract with the Sky Blues, has been linked with a move to The John Smith’s Stadium to join up with former boss Mark Robins.
Since joining the club on a free transfer from Scunthorpe United in 2011, Murphy has missed only a handful of games, and started every competitive match for the Sky Blues last season.
Last month, manager Steven Pressley confirmed that Murphy had held talks over a move to Yorkshire, and now it appears those talks have been productive with Murphy expected to complete the switch shortly.
It is being reported however that Town have cooled on their interest in Cyrus Christie, another star out of contract with the Sky Blues due to the compensation City are holding out for.
If Murphy and Christie were to join The Terriers, they would join an ex-Sky Blue contingent at The John Smith’s Stadium alongside Mark Robins, Oliver Norwood and Danny Ward.
