Less than 12 months after unceremoniously leaving The Sky Blues, Championship side Wolves are allowing Leon Clarke to leave the club on loan according to The Coventry Telegraph.
Clarke, 29 had scored 28 goals in just 48 appearances with The Sky Blues, forming a formidable partnership with Callum Wilson before handing in a transfer request last January and joining the eventual winners of League One for a fee of around £750k.
Since then Clarke has had a disastrous second spell with his hometown club, with just two goals in 24 appearances, of which 15 have been as a substitute.
With Kenny Jackett reportedly looking to sign Northampton Town striker Ivan Toney, Clarke looks set to fall even further down the Molineux pecking order.
In the summer, City manager Steven Pressley described the need to ‘sign a Leon Clarke style striker, but not Leon Clarke’ but would you take Clarke back at The Sky Blues to help push the club up the League One table?
