An extension has reportedly been agreed between Sheffield Wednesday and Coventry City to Gary Madine’s loan at The Sky Blues.
Madine rejoined The Sky Blues for a second spell on an initial one month loan and has gone on to score two goals in four appearances, with the initial loan to end after Saturday’s game with Walsall.
However, earlier this week, speaking to The Coventry Telegraph, City manager Steven Pressley revealed he was working on an extension ahead of tomorrow’s 5pm loan deadline with the player keen to stay at the club.
It is now being reported that a deal has been struck for Madine to remain with The Sky Blues for a further month, however Wednesday have reportedly added a 24 hour recall clause into the deal.
Madine, who is out of contract with The Owls next summer, has previously hinted that he would be willing to join The Sky Blues permanently upon the end of his current deal, with Pressley also interested in signing the former Carlisle United man on a longer deal.
