Coventry City have completed their first signing of the summer, bringing in striker Kwame Thomas from Championship side Derby County.
Thomas, 20, joins The Sky Blues on a free transfer after being released by The Rams at the end of last season.
Thomas has signed a two-year deal with Tony Mowbray’s side, keeping him at The Ricoh Arena until June 2018.
Thomas, had loan spells at Notts County and more recently Blackpool during 2015, making 22 appearances for the Tangerines during a four month stint.
Coventry City Manager, Tony Mowbray said: “Kwame is an exciting young striker, who will add pace and power to our attacking options.
“It’s good to get the first signing of the summer over the line and I am looking forward to working with Kwame over the course of next season.”
Thomas is the first of two signings Mowbray was hoping to make today with player’s contracts with their previous cubs ending yesterday.
