Coventry City have accepted a third offer from Championship side Rotherham United for captain Jordan Willis.
After initially rejecting two bids from The Championship side, Rotherham came back with a third and final bid for the 22 year old, which was accepted by The Sky Blues.
Since his debut in 2011/2012 – the season which saw The Sky Blues relegated from The Championship to League One; Willis has gone on to make over 100 appearances despite a number of injuries and become one of the first names on the teamsheet.
Earlier this season, Willis took over the Club captaincy following Sam Ricketts’ retirement due to injury.
Any transfers must be completed by 11pm and it feels like deja vu for City fans having seen James Maddison sold to Norwich City on Transfer Deadline Day last January.
UPDATE: 16:12GMT 31/02/2017
The Coventry Observer have this afternoon confirmed with Club representatives that thay have not accepted Rotherham’s third offer for Willis, but rather rejected it as it still did not meet the Club’s valuation for their captain.
