Premier League giants Liverpool have reportedly invited Coventry City defender Cian Harries to train with their first team ahead of a possible transfer.
The Daily Mail are reportedly that Harries, who only made his full debut in the final game of the 2015/2016 Season, has been invited to Melwood to take part in a trial with Liverpool.
In a situation similar to that of Conor Thomas in January 2011, where he spent six months at Anfield with the view to a £1m move in the summer, the ball-playing centre back has been likened to Anfield legend Alan Hansen due to his style of play.
After a loan spell at Cheltenham Town last season, Harries has made 15 appearances for the Sky Blues’ first team, and only signed a new three and a half year contract with the Club in November, which would only have added to his transfer value.
Neither Coventry City or Liverpool have commented on the reports so far.
