Coventry City have completed the free transfer of Zain Westbrooke from Championship side Brentford.
Westbrooke, 21, has spent time on trial with The Sky Blues, playing in two development games; the maximum allowed, and impressing enough to earn a two year deal.
Signing until June 2020, there is an option of a further year.
Westbrooke will be ineligible for The Sky Blues play-off games against Notts County and the final should they advance, but will start training with the side with immediate effect.
Speaking to The Club’s official website, Sky Blues’ boss Mark Robins said; “Zain is central midfielder with a good range of passing, who will add to the quality we have in this area of the pitch.
“He impressed me and the coaching staff at the club with his performances and attitude while on trial, which earned him this contract.
“Zain will begin training with the squad immediately, and we look forward to him continuing his development with us.”
He has been signed to replace Tom Bayliss
