Former Coventry City forward George Thomas today made his full international debut for Wales.
Twelve months after leaving The Sky Blues following their relegation to SKyBet League Two, his international debut comes less than 24 hours after City won The Play-Off Final at Wembley to secure their immediate return to League One.
Thomas was given 26 minutes in the California sunshine by Wales manager Ryan Giggs to impress following a season with Leicester’s Under 23s, which has seen him named in the first team squad in the Premier League too as an unused substitute.
After progressing through The Sky Blues’ Academy, Leicester born Thomas went on to make over 50 appearances for the Club, scoring 9 goals including the winner in The Checkatrade Trophy Final at Wembley last season.
