Portsmouth manager Kenny Jackett has confirmed that striker Conor Chaplin will be unavailable to feature against his parent club at The Ricoh Arena tomorrow night.
Speaking to The News, Jackett confirmed that it was a contractual agreement between the two sides when Chaplin joined The Sky Blues on Deadline Day in August before Chaplin’s move becomes permanent for £500,000 in January.
“He’s not (playing).
“It was in the financial deal, in the contract.”
“The deal is a loan deal at present but when it becomes permanent in January then the situation changes.”
Since arriving at The Ricoh Arena, Chaplin has scored once in five appearances but City boss Mark Robins will have to leave him in the stands when the league leaders visit tomorrow night.
