Coventry City have signed Preston North End goalkeeper Jamie Jones on an initial 31-day emergency loan.
Following Saturday’s defeat at Gillingham, Ryan Allsop returned to parent club Bournemouth, leaving The Sky Blues with just Lee Burge & Reice Charles-Cook as their only goalkeepers.
The initial 31 day emergency loan can be extended to 93 days, should it be required.
Jones initially started his career at Everton in their academy before joining Leyton Orient, and then Preston last summer for whom he has made 20 appearances for this season.
Speaking to the club’s official website, City boss Steven Pressley said: “We’re delighted to be able to bring Jamie into the club.
“Jamie has obtained some fantastic League One experience and was widely regarded as one of the best goalkeepers at this level last season during Leyton Orient’s impressive year.”
