New Coventry City manager Russell Slade has wasted no time in utilizing the January transfer window, with four deals being completed by 11am on January 1st.
The Sky Blues’ top goalscorer, Marvin Sordell, has departed the club, joining Championship side Burton Albion on a permanent contract until the end of the 2016/2017 Season.
In 25 appearances, Sordell scored 7 goals and as part of the deal, two Burton players have joined The Sky Blues.
Stuart Beavon, 33, has joined The Club on a 18 month contract, having won Burton’s Player of the Year Award in both of their back-to-back promotion winning seasons, whilst young midfielder Callum Reilly joins on loan until the end of April.
Nathan Clarke, as expected, has also completed a free transfer this morning from Bradford City, signing a contract until the end of the season, with a further year in the Club’s favour.
